چکیده

A model based on first-degree family relations network is used to describe the wealth distribution in societies. The network structure is not a priori introduced in the model, it is generated in parallel with the wealth values through simple and realistic dynamical rules. The model has two main parameters, governing the wealth exchange in the network. Choosing their values realistically, leads to wealth distributions in good agreement with measured data. The cumulative wealth distribution function has an exponential behavior in the low and medium wealth limit, and shows the Pareto-like power-law tail for the upper 5% of the society. The obtained Pareto indexes are in good agreement with the measured ones. The generated family networks also converge to a statistically stable topology with a simple Poissonian degree distribution. On this family network many interesting correlations are studied, and the main factors leading to wealth diversification and the formation of the Pareto law are identified. r 2005 Elsevier B.V. An Analysis to Wealth Distribution Based on Sugarscape Model in an Artificial Society

In this paper an artificial society is being assumed as a multi agents system. A sugarscape model consisting of a cellular landscape of resources is used to form an interaction among the agents of the population. In the model, agents find the resources to survive. They are supposed to move and search and because of this movement, an evolutionary social behavior will develope. From model analys...

A Trade-Investment Model for Distribution of Wealth

Econophysics provides a strategy for understanding the potential mechanisms underlying the anomalous distribution of wealth found in real societies. We present a computational nonlinear stochastic model for the distribution of wealth that depends upon three parameters and two mechanisms: trade and investment. To avoid economic paradoxes, the trade mechanism is assumed to be related to the poore...

Equalitarian Societies are Economically Impossible

The inequality of wealth distribution is a universal phenomenon in civilized nations and it is often imputed to the Matthew effect, that is, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Some philosophers unjustified this phenomenon and tried to put the human civilization upon the evenness of wealth. Noticing the facts that 1) the emergence of centralism is the starting point of human civilizati...

Solving a mathematical model with multi warehouses and retailers in distribution network by a simulated annealing algorithm

Determination of shipment quantity and distribution problem is an important subject in today’s business. This paper describes the inventory/distribution network design. The system addresses a class of distribution network design problem, which is characterized by multiple products family, multiple warehouses and retail-ers. The maximum capacity of vehicles and warehouses are also known. The res...
